I've been here twice; the first time I wasn't 100% impressed but I felt a lot of that was due to a mediocre waitress and not a very clear understanding on the process. I went as a group of four (all of our first time there) and trying to order food for four adults and cook it in one small grill with one set of tongs was a bit slow going. There is also the high probability that the foods will start to stick to the grill because there's no easy way to keep the grill oiled. We actually had to have our grill plates changed out twice because we scorched them with the marinated meats. Going back a second time was much better, I opted for the hot pot instead of the grill. And the service was much better as well. The atmosphere is definitely more geared towards a modern young adult approach, from the music selection to the grey walls. The decor unfortunately feels a little bland. Overall, I'll be happy to return. They definitely have a great selection of food to choose from.
Let's start with the service- it was excellent from the hostess (hey 334! Lol) to the server to management greeting us as we departed. Everyone was great & on point & everything was flowing smoothly as it should. Now the important stuff- the food! It was so good. It was a little overwhelming at first because we didn't realize when we ordered how much meat was in each portion & it's a lot. The meat choices for both the grill & hot pot are great. I was stoked to have enoki mushrooms as an option for hot pot. All in all this is a 5 star experience for the Pensacola area. The experience is different from any other local restaurant & the vibe is nice as well, 10/10 would recommend.
5/5 Stars! We visited for the first time and had an amazing experience! Our group of four opted for the BBQ and hot pot, and it was EXCELLENT! The unique dining experience was a nice change of pace from the usual restaurant fare. But what really made our evening stand out was our server, Kim. She was incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. That Beef Bulgogi she recommended to try hit the spot! We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu! Highly recommend HQ Korean BBQ and Hot Spot for a fun, delicious, unique and all you can eat dining experience.
This was our first time here. We wanted an experience and let me tell you we got one!!! We got the hot pot and the grill experience, we ordered way too much but we did eat all of it. It was so easy and fast to cook our favorite was the hot pot with the brooth!!
Took a group here for my birthday dinner. Our server Kristine was fantastic! Great energy, very nice, knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. 10/10 time will definitely be coming back and asking for Kristine. They accommodated our group easily and the way the ordering is set up is really easy and quick!
We have been wanting to go here since hearing about it several months ago, so was excited to he able to go the second day they opened. The place is very nice and very new feeling, as it should. Everything was very clean and modern feeling. All the staff we interacted with were all very friendly and nice. Being able to order food on the iPad they provided was very convenient. They were pretty quick to bring out food as we order it. The food quality was pretty good and their selection was also pretty good. We opted to do the BBQ and Hot Pot and it does get a bit hectic trying to cook food in the hot pot and the grill, so just be aware of that. There is a cart at the end of the table to put empty plates so it doesn't get too crowded, which was very useful. They have a sauce bar which is nice to season the food with various different sauces and flavors. They have a small section for desserts and ice cream. It isn't a large selection, but it was fine. Overall it was a very good experience and I wouldn't mind coming back!
I don’t generally give 5 stars for anything because there is always room for improvement. Nothing is Perfect. However, I really enjoyed myself today at this restaurant. I have never gone to this restaurant before so I needed much attention. And my waitress, Christine, really held my hand and walked me through the process and my first time experience. She was patient, polite and kind. I enjoyed grilling my selected food items at the table myself rather than the hot pot. I had both, but I don’t have room to get to the hot pot. I got full from my grilled food. I had sliced ribeye, garlic chicken, Napa cabbage, zucchini, onions for grill. And I had the original hot pot broth, bokchoy bean sprouts, garlic and green onions. But again, I was not able to get to that...too full. The lunch price was comparable for the amount of food choices. They also have sushi all for the same amount. Again, I didn’t make it to that either. Finally, to me, the restroom speaks volumes about the business itself. Well, the restroom gets a 10. Very clean and smell really good. Ask for Christine when you go. And tell her the one who needed her hand held sent you. She’ll remember
We recently visited HQ Korean BBQ & Hot Pot in Pensacola for the first time, and we were absolutely blown away! The all-you-can-eat model is amazing, with excellent quality food and delicious meat. Cooking your own meat on the grill is such a fun experience, and they have a huge selection of soups for the hot pot, where you can control your own temperature. We went for lunch and were pleasantly surprised to find out that the lunch price is 10 cheaper on weekdays than the dinner price. If you get there before 3:30 pm, you can take advantage of the lower price, although the lunch menu is a bit more limited compared to dinner. Ordering everything on the touch screen at the table was super convenient, and the food was brought to us very quickly. They do charge 14/lb for any food you waste, but I was told this isn’t enforced unless you’re truly wasting a lot of food. The service was excellent, and we will would like to go back again but it is very expensive. It's a great selection of quality of food, but again is very pricey. There is also a two hour limit, which, for the price is kind of limiting. Highly recommend checking it out for a special occasion! **UPDATE** We attempted to go back, and after calculating how much it would have been with the whole family of 4 (3 adults, 1 child) (Approximately 180 with tax/tip), we opted to go elsewhere as although the food is incredible, service, is awesome, and the experience is fun, the price is hard to justify, especially with a couple of kids. They charge adult/child based on height, so a child may have to pay the adult cost if they are tall for their age. I feel this is probably a great place for a couple to go, but if you're bringing a family it gets very expensive.
